Speaking many languages is an enormous advantage, since nowadays global communication between people of different origins is increasing. Besides learning German and other languages in school, a lot of students grow up with more than one language at home.
With the results of our research we want to contribute to discerning young people’s linguistic abilities und use these for an improvement of the students’ educational success.

The project “Multilingual Development: A Longitudinal Perspective” is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the scope of its key research area “linguistic education and multilingualism”.
